As a Fire Dispatcher Assistant, you will be working to support the Marin County Fire Department by helping with dispatching resources by radio and telephone. You will also be performing both emergency and non-emergency incident support work. This is a great entry-level opportunity for those who want to gain the skills and abilities necessary to be able to dispatch public safety personnel and equipment effectively while working in a supportive team environment. This is a temporary position for staffing during the peak wildland fire season, expected to conclude at the end of fire season (late Fall 2025). The typical work schedule consists of 10-12 hour shifts, but candidates must be willing to work a 24-hour shift if needed and/or be willing to be called back and work overtime in emergency situations.
