POSITION TITLE: Seasonal Field Technician REPORTS TO: Entomologist/Assistant Superintendent DESCRIPTION: Assist with mosquito and greenhead fly trapping programs.

Possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Ability to obtain pesticide license.
Required to stand, walk, use hand and finger dexterity to handle or operate tools or controls and reach with hands.
Lifting or carrying weights of up to 50 pounds.
Walk distance on uneven surface.
Or any equivalent education, training, and work experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

Set out and retrieve mosquito traps for arbovirus surveillance and efficacy studies.
Assist entomologist in duties as needed.
Identify different species of mosquitoes after minimal training.
Assist in other ongoing research projects.
Assist with greenhead fly trapping program.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
