Hotel Washington is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Seasonal Food & Beverage Manager Floater to join our team! HW is an organization whose success is rooted in its service culture. The Food & Beverage Manager Floater ensures the smooth operation of food and beverage services by providing leadership and support across various locations or departments. This role involves maintaining high standards of service, managing staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or certificate, post high school education and degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years food and beverage supervisory experience required. Should be in a similar size restaurant operation.
  • Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different settings.
  • Proficiency in managing food and beverage operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations and adapt to different environments.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including PM's, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Union experience preferred.
  • Degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Operations: Manage daily food and beverage operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with Chefs to design and update menus, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverages staff, including Chefs, waitstaff, and bartenders.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and complaints, striving to provide excellent service.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Financial Management: Keep financial records, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Marketing & Events: Organize promotional activities and manage catering for events such as weddings and conferences.
  • Innovation: Implement strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
