About The Position

The Seasonal Driver Helper/Route Assistant position for Summer 2025 involves assisting the driver in delivering package and draft products to accounts on an assigned route and schedule. Qualified candidates must be available for work starting in May 2025, with seasonal assignments scheduled to work through the Labor Day holiday. Work hours may vary from Tuesday to Friday, and the starting wage is $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of general work experience preferred; prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience is a strong plus.
  • Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and assertive skills.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including frequent lifting of cases weighing 25-40 pounds and handling kegs weighing up to 161 pounds.
  • Must have a smartphone with a camera and data capability.
  • Must hold a valid US Driver's license and a valid Texas Driver's License with a driving record within MVR policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the driver in counting inventory on the truck and during deliveries to each account.
  • Help with product deliveries by reviewing the pick sheet for accounts, pulling proper products from bays, stacking products on a dolly, and wheeling them into each account.
  • Assist the driver with account transactions and end-of-day settlement procedures as required.
  • Follow Corporate Sales and Merchandising Standards guidelines to ensure the merchandising of all corporate products, including restocking to avoid out-of-stock situations, making minor legal space adjustments, building displays, and providing P.O.S. and pricing product as allowed by retailers.
  • Establish and maintain good customer service relations by ensuring backrooms and shelves are left orderly, deliveries are made as scheduled, and providing respectful courtesy to retailers and shoppers.
  • Follow and enforce Anheuser Busch equity agreement and other supplier contract Code Date policies.
  • Complete the checking of the truck in and out to ensure proper settlement and handle all damaged, short code, and out of code product at Check-In.
  • Assist the driver in pre and post-trip truck inspections.
  • Clock in/out at designated time clock.
  • Adhere to strict safe working/driving practices, Company Policies, rules, and regulations, correcting obvious hazards immediately or reporting to a supervisor if not immediately correctable.
  • Adhere to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
