About The Position

Austin Country Club in Austin, TX, is seeking dedicated and professional full-time Seasonal Country Club Lifeguards to join our team starting in May of this year. Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to Harvey Penick, one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived. We are located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as our backdrop. Spanning over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views in Davenport Ranch, our property is just 10 miles west of downtown Austin. Requirements
- Current lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong swimming skills and the ability to pass a swim test
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Nice To Haves
- Previous lifeguard experience is preferred but not required!
Responsibilities
- Monitor the pool area for any potential hazards
- Keep a vigilant eye on swimmers to ensure they're safe
- Respond swiftly in the event of an emergency, performing water rescues or administering CPR and first aid
- Assist with maintaining a clean and inviting pool environment, making sure the pool is free of debris and that safety equipment is in place
- Interact with members, answering their questions, ensuring they follow pool rules, and providing top-notch customer service
