About The Position

Since 1982, over 160,000 youth have been helped with Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) programs. Job Purpose The Compliance Reviewer is responsible for reviewing, re-validating, and re-verifying that all potential youth/young adults who are considered for employment through relevant programs, meet the eligibility requirements. To do so, the Compliance Reviewer ensures each employee file has appropriate documents, certificates, background information, and contact information as required/standardized by the federal contract. The Compliance Reviewer must be comfortable sitting for long periods of time and highly attentive to details to ensure all eligibility requirements are met in each file.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university preferred. An additional 4 years of work experience as detailed below can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have experience working with government legalese and compliance regulatory standards.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook email, Google Drive applications, and Smartsheet.
  • Must pass a BCI/FBI criminal background check as a condition of employment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and sense of urgency.
  • Must be meticulous about details – very detail-oriented and data-efficient.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with social service programs, like TANF and WIOA or others, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full compliance review of program eligibility documentation processes for participants in the Summer and Young Adult Employment Program.
  • Maintain complete and accurate participant files throughout the duration of the program.
  • Immediately communicate/report any irregularity or discrepancy for timely and efficient corrective action.
  • Complete the re-verification process to determine the eligibility of all participants into the program by thoroughly reviewing each participant’s file.
  • Provide regular updates to the Compliance manager regarding progress of the file review process.
  • Ensure file and data integrity in anticipation of both random and scheduled internal audits.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Y.O.U.’s compliance requirements and ensure that our files meet those requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.
