About The Position

Freeman Landscape is a family-run commercial landscape company based in Wilmington, NC. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand and elevate our seasonal color program across our maintenance portfolio. We are seeking a Seasonal Color & Enhancement Manager to lead, develop, and execute high-impact seasonal displays that enhance our clients’ properties and strengthen long-term relationships. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of our seasonal color program — from design and plant selection to installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of annuals, perennials, and plant performance in the Southeast / coastal North Carolina region
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and teams simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills with both clients and internal teams
  • A self-starter who takes ownership and is driven to improve and grow a program

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in landscape design, horticulture, or seasonal color programs preferred
  • Experience with plant sourcing and vendor coordination preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Aspire experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Developing seasonal color programs for spring/summer and fall/winter rotations across commercial properties
  • Creating planting plans, color palettes, and container designs tailored to each property
  • Planning and scheduling seasonal change-outs to ensure timely and efficient installations
  • Sourcing high-quality plant material through our nursery and external vendors across the Southeast
  • Coordinating with the Nursery Manager to ensure plant availability, quality, and logistics
  • Leading and supporting crews responsible for seasonal installations and enhancements
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure quality, design intent, and plant health standards are met
  • Establishing best practices for watering, fertilization, and long-term plant performance
  • Partnering with Account Managers to present seasonal enhancements and support client relationships
  • Assisting with proposals, pricing, and identifying opportunities to grow enhancement revenue
  • Managing budgets, tracking costs, and improving efficiency and profitability of the program
  • Training team members on proper installation techniques and horticultural best practices
