The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEEA) serves Commonwealth residents interested in outdoor recreational activities, clean energy solutions and those who work with animals and livestock. Equally, EOEEA works with energy consumers, power companies, clean energy providers and farmers to delicately balance the interaction with environmental protection laws and regulations while being a cornerstone for our economic prosperity. The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) seeks qualified applicants for the position of Long-Term Seasonal Civil Engineer I – Construction Access Permits to enable DCR to properly manage outside the impacts of outside entities on DCR property. This position will require independent work and decision making in collaboration with the supervisor and Construction Permit team. Staff in this position will be responsible for conducting field investigations such as those needed to gather information needed to resolve construction, maintenance, environmental or traffic problems related to the insurance of Construction Access Permits. This staff member will also coordinate with permitting staff to resolve issues with non-compliance. They will also inspect construction operations, such as drainage, steel placement, paving or concrete to ensure that work is being performed according to specifications and in conformance with DCR construction permit requirements.
