About The Position

Performs a variety of duties related to the maintenance of: Cemetery Grounds maintenance String trimming around headstones Weeding and landscape ben maintenance Maintaining and cleaning restrooms Irrigation Systems Light and heavy equipment operating Working outside in various elements Great attitude and able to communicate with citizens in a respectable manner.

Requirements

Knowledge in maintaining turf and landscape areas with skills including irrigation, planting, weeding, and general upkeep of greenspace
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to communicate.
Ability to learn to operate and maintain maintenance equipment such as mowers, chain saws, pruning equipment, and hand tools.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and the public.
Must pass a background and drug test.
Must be 16 years old or older

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to applicants 18 and older with a valid driver's license
If some of these qualifications are lacking, we are still interested if you are a hard worker that is willing to learn and be an effective member of the Cemetery team.
