Directors further the camp mission by designing and delivering program activities and events that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ ages and abilities. They provide the highest quality experience for campers by assisting in managing the overall camp operation, including supervising, mentoring, and supporting staff. Essential job functions of the Director position include: Give support and direction to counselors, specialists, and campers in your program area throughout the day to foster an inclusive, safe, and fun experience. Supervise and evaluate Program Specialists and Counselors to develop and implement camp program activities. Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities and equipment in all program areas. Develop and implement schedules and records for all areas of camp program and facilities. Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior. Create an inclusive environment that ensures all campers feel supported and affirmed as they experience camp with us. Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures. Set a good example to campers and others in regard to general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule, and sportsmanship.
