The revitalized property preserves the 1940 Art Deco distinction and authentic charm originally envisioned by celebrated architects Morris Lapidus and Igor Polevitzky. From reimagined interiors to refreshed guest experiences, every detail reflects a seamless blend of heritage and contemporary sophistication. The Shelborne introduces four vibrant new food & beverage destinations to the neighborhood, each suited for warm weather dining, with an all-day signature restaurant, a lobby bar- lounge, and curated cafe. Resort amenities include a spacious pool and lush garden lounge, indoor-outdoor cabanas, sundeck terrace, state-of-the-art fitness center, dedicated access to a private beach club, and more than 15,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting & event space. Job Summary:  The Seasonal Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service during banquet events, ensuring a positive experience for all guests. You will work closely with the banquet team to ensure smooth service, timely delivery of food and drinks, and the satisfaction of each guest. The Seasonal Banquet Server is expected to maintain a professional and polished appearance, exhibit excellent customer service skills, and follow all hotel policies and procedures during events. This seasonal position is offered from January 10, 2026 through May 31, 2026 and plays a vital role in supporting the property’s banquet and event operations during the high season.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalentrequired.
  • Food Handler certification or similarrequired(if applicable).
  • Alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS) may berequiredbased on local regulations.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail, especially with food and beverage orders and presentation.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Ability tolift upto 25 pounds and carry trays of food and beverages.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays asrequired.

Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner, following banquet event orders and specifications.
  • Ensure that all guests receive their food and drinks ina timely, efficient, and friendly manner, keeping service areas clean and organized.
  • Maintain the flow of service during events, ensuring that courses are delivered according to the event schedule and guests' needs are met promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the event.
  • Attend to guest needs promptly, ensuring that their requests are met with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns swiftly and professionally, ensuring that issues are resolved to the guest’s satisfaction.
  • Set up tables, chairs, linens, glassware, silverware, and other banquet items according to event specifications.
  • Assistin the arrangement and preparation of food and beverage stations, ensuring everything is set up and ready before the event begins.
  • Break down tables and service areas after the event, cleaning up and returning items to theappropriate storageareas.
  • Work closely with the banquet captain and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the event.
  • Assistinmaintaininga clean and organized work area, including the kitchen, service stations, and dining areas.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow servers, kitchen staff, and event managers to ensure that all guest needs are met promptly and correctly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and service of food and beverages.
  • Follow all hotel policies and local regulationsregardingalcohol service, including checking IDs and ensuring responsible service.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met throughout the event,maintaininga safe and hygienic environment.
