About The Position

The Back Server reports directly to the F&B Management Team and is responsible for ensuring each guest has an amazing dining experience by skillfully and carefully checking, arranging, and presenting the guest with their meal and beverages.

Requirements

Extended experience providing service in a fine dining environment.
Ability to remain calm during busy periods and treat our guests and our team members with respect.
Professional, polished service, etiquette and protocol skills and knowledge.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
Current food handling certificate.
Current Alcohol serving certification
Ability to communicate legibly.
Ability to anticipate and understand guests’ service needs remaining calm and courteous.
Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time and make a concise decision in pressure situation.
Ability to focus attention on details.
Ability to maintain good coordination and timing while serving orders quickly.
Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the event and to exert physical effort in setting up rooms from to specific standards of each event
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using correct spelling and grammar.
Ability to provide legible written communication.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
Complete drivers training
Set-up picnic experience for guests during spring/summer operations

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent and some college.
Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
Any previous serving and bartending training.
Forbes Five Star Service Training/Experience
Prior training in guest relations.

Responsibilities

Practice intuitive, aware, of dining service.
Anticipate guests’ needs based on body language, eye contact, and level of engagement.
Ensure 100% accuracy of delivered items to tables.
Maintain organization & cleanliness of the restaurant.
Communicate thoroughly and efficiently with the F&B Management and Culinary team about any operations, ordering, or logistical needs.
Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property-specific processes to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Report any employee, guest, and/or vendor incidents and accidents to management at the time of the incident and/or accident.
Follow all state and local laws for serving (e.g., last call times).
Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.
