People who do not sit around and wait, they just do. You belong here. Job Overview The A/V Technician responsible for setting up and operating a variety of audio-visual equipment. It is also responsible for trouble-shooting any issues and tearing down (striking) equipment post-event.
Requirements
- Flexible schedule (days/nights, late hours, weekends, and holidays)
- 2 years minimum live production experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Strong intrapersonal skills with an outgoing, friendly personality.
- Stage plot literacy and familiarity with production specific vocabulary and inventory function.
- Basic understanding of signal flow, power distribution, as well as cable and conversions.
- A passion for music with a deep understanding of various genres and the unique requirements of live performances.
Nice To Haves
- Audio systems knowledge such as Dante, Lake
- Visual systems knowledge such as Lutron, Crestron
Responsibilities
- Set up/break down, patch, program and operate audio, lighting and video systems across various spaces per event based needs.
- Responsible for safe and consistent operation of all equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for conference and event space equipment, including projectors, audio systems, video conferencing tools, and other AV equipment.
- Assist with maintenance, updates and inventory.
- Communicate with artists and clients for AV needs in conjunction with venue nuances.
- Accurately interpret and actualize instructions and notes by PM, TM, artists, and clients.
