The Asset Protection team at Macy's utilizes advanced technology and analytics tools to minimize shortages and safeguard the company's financial health. The role of the Visual Security Officer is an entry-level position within the Asset Protection department. The primary responsibilities include communicating any suspicious activities to Asset Protection detectives and management, ensuring a safe business environment, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Visual Security Officer is stationed primarily at customer entrances, monitoring traffic as a visual deterrent to theft. As a Visual Security Officer, you will greet customers upon their entry into the store or specific departments, using two-way communication devices to maintain contact with Asset Protection Detectives and Management. You will remain stationed at high-traffic entrances and areas prone to theft, diligently monitoring for suspicious activity. Compliance with company policies regarding apprehensions, searches, and evidence preservation is crucial, as is the handling of proprietary, sensitive, and confidential information.
