About The Position

As a Continuous Improvement Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing plant operational efficiencies by identifying areas for improvement in methods, equipment, and time management. Your responsibilities will include managing the SPC Program, conducting Process and Slicer Capability Studies, and performing Giveaway Analysis. You will evaluate process capability to pinpoint opportunities for future growth and champion 5S and Lean Manufacturing activities. Additionally, you will lead the Lean Six Sigma culture at the plant level, facilitate Kaizen events, and oversee various improvement projects such as the DLMP initiative. As the RedZone System Administrator, you will update the database for personnel, products, forums, and checks/audits, while also acting as the RedZone Champion by collecting data and leading related activities. Monitoring and reporting on sustainability progress for continuous improvement initiatives, including the net weight program and OEE, will also be part of your role. You will work cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, purchasing, and R&D to identify and implement effective solutions, coach plant staff on continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with job coaches to establish training procedures for new processes and equipment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in food manufacturing, meat industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food or Meat Science, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Office 365, Minitab, RedZone preferred, ERP systems, statistical process control training.

Responsibilities

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in the manufacturing process.
  • Manage the SPC Program, including Process and Slicer Capability Studies and Giveaway Analysis.
  • Evaluate process capability to identify opportunities for future growth.
  • Champion 5S and Lean Manufacturing activities.
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma culture at the plant level.
  • Lead Kaizen events and other improvement projects (DLMP initiative, etc.).
  • Serve as RedZone System Administrator, updating the database for people, products, forums, and checks/audits.
  • Act as RedZone Champion, collecting data and leading RedZone-related activities for the plant.
