We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Search Engine Optimization Intern to join our team for an 8-12 week, in-person internship program at our Des Plaines, IL office. This immersive SEO internship is structured like a bootcamp to provide hands-on training, direct mentorship, and real project experience for students and early-career professionals interested in agency-level SEO.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Interest in the digital marketing industry and foundational SEO concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines
• Must be able to work in-person at our Des Plaines, IL office, approximately 20-25 hours/week
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Responsibilities

• Learn SEO fundamentals, including crawling, indexing, search intent, and on-page optimization
• Receive guided onboarding and training in professional SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and AHREFs
• Assist with live SEO audits, technical reviews, and optimization projects alongside SEO Specialists
• Support basic SEO tasks such as metadata updates, internal linking improvements, and image alt text enhancements
• Participate in collaborative group projects and shadow real client strategy sessions
• Gain exposure to content workflows including keyword research and SEO content briefs
• Contribute to backlink research, competitive link analysis, and introductory link building
• Learn how to package insights for SEO reporting and client-facing presentations
• Complete a capstone audit and strategy presentation with feedback from SEO leadership
• Participate in peer review sessions, mentorship meetings, and an end-of-program networking event
