The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) is committed to equity and excellence, including the active recruitment of students from all areas of Illinois. IMSA’s PROMISE Program addresses the unique challenges of culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse (CLED) students who have an interest in STEM education by providing academic enrichment programming at low to no cost. This grant-funded program is open to all students, especially those from culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse backgrounds, including Black or African American students, Latinx students, students who qualify for the National Free or Reduced-Price Meal Program, and students from rural Illinois counties. Specifically, IMSA is seeking teaching candidates in various academic disciplines for the 2026 PROMISE - SEAMS Program, serving rising 9th grade students statewide in Illinois during the summer . In this program, candidates will work with students that have varying academic backgrounds. Program Dates and Details: June 20-28, 2026 Expected work hours are 8:00AM - 4:00PM Instruction runs from June 22 through the 26. There are opportunities to join programming outside of the classroom as well. Teaching Schedule: Four 90 minute class rotations each day. Estimated schedule: Class 1: 8:50 am-10:20 am Class 2: 10:30 am- 12:00 pm Lunch Break Class 3: 12:50 pm- 2:20 pm Class 4: 2:25 pm- 3:45 pm
