About The Position

Kensington Glass Arts specializes in high-end interior glass work, typically for law firms and organizations with very upscale office interiors. The company is unique in that we manufacture and install architectural glass products. KGa single source capacity provides for a unique capability to control the destiny of our projects from beginning to end. This is an in-house position. The primary responsibility is to take an active role in the seaming, washing and quality control department. Specific duties include, but are not entirely limited to:

Requirements

All candidates must have the ability to work at our Ijamsville, MD location and submit to a pre-employment drug test and a background check.

Responsibilities

Responsible for seaming and washing all glass as required.
Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment; cleaning up breakage, disposing of damaged glass, keeping a clean floor area around walking surfaces, keeping station desks clean and organized, etc.
Responsible for reviewing all glass for quality control standards.
Expected to be a participant in any activity requiring additional help, helping and organizing as required.
Responsible for maintaining regular cleaning, repair and general maintenance of the machines and coordinating those efforts with our workload and management.
Expected to be instrumental and responsive to changes in the production schedule as required.
Seam & Wash Technician will be OSHA 10 certified.
Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for seaming, washing and quality control processes.
Assist in design and implementation of production KPMs.
Assist in identification of KPMs to create a completely accountable, 100% customer satisfaction goal.
