About The Position

Position Summary
The Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving seafood products in order to maintain the integrity of inventory levels.

Requirements

• Must have basic computer skills
• Forklift and reach truck experience required
• Ability to identify product by size, type, or product code
• Solid reading skills – must be able to read PO’s and match item on PO’s to items received
• Possess basic math and reasoning skills
• Ability to understand and execute instructions
• Possess general understanding of the warehouse and footprint
• Ability to operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices)

Responsibilities

• Inspect all incoming trucks in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Print required reports, license plates/receiving labels
• Unload truck and inspect the condition of goods received
• Accurately identify and receive incoming product
• Move product to seafood cooler, properly rotate inventory – First In, First Out (FIFO)
• Properly receive product into the Target System
• Maintain HAACP standards
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and managers
• Maintain safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary for the job
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
