About The Position

The Seafood Clerk is responsible for preparing fish and seafood for general purchase by cutting, cleaning, and trimming down fish.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent required
  • Experience working in a meat and/or seafood department, a plus
  • Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in seafood departments.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Detail oriented
  • Read and write English/Spanish
  • Follow instructions,
  • Comfortable using knives safely and efficiently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures area is clean, fish tanks are full and free of sleeper
  • Ensures all products are properly signed and all product is rotated correctly
  • Certifies products received throughout the day
  • Washes all dishes and utensils thoroughly
  • Other duties as assigned by management
