About The Position

Seafood Attendants should have a strong understanding of seafood products, market trends, and customer preferences. The seafood attendant will be responsible for packaging, pricing and displaying seafood products in a visually appealing and attractive manner to drive sales. Job Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to Setting up and maintaining attractive displays of seafood products on sales floor to include poke station, chill display, and frozen flat case. Educating customers about different types of seafood and their preparation methods. Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Providing exceptional customer service and assisting with any inquires or special orders. Keep work area clean and organized. Other duties as assigned or instructed by management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and effectively respond to the data.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, employees, or others involved or associated in the warehouse section function.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts relevant to the role such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• A valid health certificate or ability to obtain a certification is required for this position.
• Ability to interpret and comply with variety of instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Knowledge and ability to maintain Health code standards.
• Ability to stand for long hours
• Ability to walk
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
• Ability to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50 pounds or more
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in seafood merchandising or related preferred
• General knowledge of basic accounting a plus
• or any equivalent combination of formal training and/or experience which provided the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities thereof.
