About The Position

At Joseph’s Classic Market, we pride ourselves on offering the freshest seafood, delivered daily. Our Seafood Associates play a critical role in maintaining our quality, ensuring excellent product presentation, and delivering exceptional customer service. Fresh seafood is highly perishable, so our Seafood Associate must have the ability to maintain quality and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail and visual presentation
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in seafood, grocery, or food service is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions
• Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks
• Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness
• Package, label, and price self-service items accurately
• Cut and prepare seafood products according to company standards
• Clean and maintain scales, cutting areas, and prep stations
• Operate department equipment including knives, steamers, and scales safely and efficiently
• Assist with other tasks as assigned
