Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Integrated Air & Missile Defense Systems (IAMDS) department is seeking a Senior IAMDS Section Leader. IAMDS leads all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area from our Tewksbury MA, and Andover MA locations. The IAMDS department supports Raytheon by cultivating a world-class group of systems thinkers who work together as a team to architect technical solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges. This position is onsite in Tewksbury, MA

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in empowering employees, leading and motivating teams, and fostering collaboration
  • Existing DoD Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace
  • Experience of radar systems
  • Experience in a functional or leadership role
  • Experience of effectively interacting with subordinates, customers, and other organizations and disciplines

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day management of a group of multi-disciplinary system engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement.
  • Management duties include performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career coaching, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Candidates will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide radar system subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.
