About The Position

The Employer Relations Student Assistant plays a vital role in supporting Career Services by ensuring accurate and timely data entry and serving as a point of contact between the office, campus partners, and external employers. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of data with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Handshake Data Management (60%): Research and enter employer, alumni, and contact information, including volunteer activity and engagement notes.
  • Input and update job, internship, and fellowship postings based on employer outreach and email correspondence.
  • Record student job/internship acceptances, remote interview activity, and On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) participation.
  • Maintain schedules for employer lunches and recruiting visits.
  • Employer Engagement & Event Support (30%): Assemble recruiting materials such as folders, signage, and event collateral.
  • Act as a Career Services ambassador during on-campus recruiting events, including expos, information sessions, and networking programs.
  • Duties include: Greeting employers and confirming room setups, assisting with A/V and tech support, managing student check-in and registration, providing a professional, welcoming presence on behalf of the office.
  • Administrative & Project Support (10%): Assist Employer Relations staff with on-campus errands and special projects as assigned.

Benefits

  • Starting pay at $13.75/hr
