About The Position

This position will gain marketable work experience by working with Yavapai College staff, Faculty and affiliates in a group effort to support the mission, goals and values of Yavapai College. The successful candidate will assist students with lab work, lab set up, tutoring, and any other function needed to help run labs with students spread out due to COVID protocols.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
• Complete all hiring documents prior to first work shift
• Work with a diverse student population
• Exhibit patience and a positive attitude
• Demonstrate reliability and good customer service skills
• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate time management and organizational skills
• Have a strong understanding of technology and the ability to use it effectively

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the program
• 2nd year E & I student to assist 1st year students

Responsibilities

• Assist students with lab work and lab set up
• Provide tutoring to students
• Support the operation of labs with students
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to confidentiality and code of conduct guidelines
