About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who thrives in a distributed systems landscape, and desires to contribute in a fast-paced environment. As an SDET, you partner with software developers to create and code tests concurrently with product development. You will get to build tools that help developers be more productive and write better code. You will own the design and implementation of key components that will help in end-to-end quality of major deliverables and enable automated user acceptance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong test automation and QA leadership skills.
  • Coding experience in Java or Python.
  • Highly experienced with automation of API and web/mobile apps across platforms.
  • Web service automation experience (both SOAP and REST).
  • Excellent handle on UI automation using Page Objects & Domain Driven design – Selenium or Cypress.
  • Relational database experience and NoSQL DB exposure.
  • Continuous integration experience with systems like Jenkins, Circle CI or Gitlab pipelines.
  • Good understanding of the latest trends in DevOps and Continuous testing.
  • Experience with ticket tracking systems, Agile workflows and testing systems such as Jira.
  • Extensive knowledge in creating test plans for complex software and integration projects.
  • Familiar with the testing pyramid and how to achieve an ideal mix of testing granularity.
  • Review, Analyze & Document bugs/issues accurately and clearly.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics domain.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps QA integration.
  • Experience with incorporating Gherkin language and BDD into manifold automation framework.
  • Exposure to Springboot web services and basic understanding of Kubernetes.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
  • Prior experience working in a client facing project.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an embedded QA within the development team from early design through release.
  • Identify, log, and track defects clearly and precisely.
  • Develop and manage test data for a wide range of scenarios.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing to maintain product reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders for early issue detection and resolution.
  • Coach team members on quality best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvements in testing processes and product quality.
