About The Position

Our San Diego office continues to grow. We are looking for an associate with between 3-7 years of experience handling labor and employment matters for employers. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits, and a salary range from $160,000 to $215,000 depending on experience. Experience defending wage and hour class and PAGA actions in California strongly preferred. Hybrid work arrangements are available. Opportunity The attorney who fills this position will be responsible for working directly with a wide range of employer clients to provide advice and counsel on high-stakes wage and hour matters, drafting pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, handling discovery (e.g., preparing discovery, analyzing/preparing discovery responses, communicating with clients, and engaging in related motion practice), meaningfully contributing to overall strategy from case inception to completion, taking depositions, attending mediations, and engaging in settlement negotiations.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of labor and employment defense experience in California.
  • Successful candidates will be highly motivated, be detail-oriented, possess excellent writing, analytical, and people skills, value a team environment, and be prepared to work independently and assume significant responsibilities.
  • Juris Doctor.
  • Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and be in good standing in the state of California.
  • Must have a California bar license.
  • During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
