Buckland is looking for a Scrum Master This position is responsible for serving as both the Team Coach and a servant leader for Agile teams, playing a key role in facilitating team events, and processes. They provide support to teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure the delivery of value and meeting organizational goals. Duties including overseeing effective backlog management, facilitating story mapping, and assisting in the creation of User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to maximize value by conducting all Agile-related ceremonies.

Requirements

  • University Degree/College Diploma in Business Analysis, Project Management/IT Project Management, or relevant education in Business.
  • 3-5 years as a focused Scrum Master experience and working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Certification or training in SCRUM is required.
  • Experience using project management software & standards – MS Project, Asana, Gantt Charts, Visio, etc.
  • Previous hands on experience with JIRA, implementation of workflows, approval levels, KPI’s and reporting outputs.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office programs including Visio & Project.
  • Familiarity with core Agile events such as Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Iteration Reviews, and Retrospectives, working alongside product owners, testers, third parties and other stakeholders.
  • Can lead, facilitate, and improve (where necessary) the daily stand-up meetings scrum ceremonies with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MX.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the working model of an Agile software development group.
  • Implement, coach, train and facilitate all Scrum Ceremonies, assisting in defining user stories, acceptance criteria, testing expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Advocate for and practice continuous integration, continuous delivery.
  • Participates or facilitates testing efforts from QA/UAT; supports both BDD (behaviour driven development) and TDD (test driven development) environments.
  • Stands up and support new Agile Teams implementation when planning and organizing scrum ceremonies.
  • Provides feedback on the standard operating procedure for the Scrum Master(s).
  • Resolve conflict between the cross-functional teams when goals begin or are diverging.
  • Manage the velocity of each sprint, map tickets and execute sprint planning tasks.
  • Consistently sourcing and training on new upcoming technologies and industry trends to achieve business objectives.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Apply your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate your meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making.
  • Driven by results working in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain a well-organized calendar to balance meetings, tasks, and future initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
