A Scrum Master at Rightpoint has well developed scrum management, project management, client partnering and leadership skills and has a proven track record managing multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction. As a Scrum Master you will be working with teams to facilitate planning and execution of client projects through the full project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of Scrum Master and/or agile coaching experience
  • Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (plan, design, development, testing, and deployment) and have worked with both business and technology teams
  • Experience working with Optimizely
  • A background in content management systems, ecommerce, or other digital technologies
  • Has provided agile training to clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and diplomatically manage conflict

Nice To Haves

  • Consulting experience with an eCommerce focus is a major plus
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Coaches associates on Agile principles to promote self-organization and continuous improvement
  • Removes impediments and shields the team from distractions to maintain focus on sprint goals
  • Tracks Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and throughput to identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborates with Product Owners to maintain a prioritized backlog aligned with customer value
  • Coordinates delivery milestones across teams and vendors to manage dependencies
  • Promotes transparency through regular reporting of progress, risks, and blockers
  • Supports quarterly planning and alignment to business OKRs
  • Advocates for Agile maturity and facilitates change to optimize workflows
  • Partners with stakeholders across IT and business to integrate feedback into delivery cycles
  • Guides estimation and planning efforts to produce reliable forecasts
  • Champions a culture of feedback and adaptation through retrospectives
  • Supports scaled Agile practices and organizational transformation efforts
  • Encourages a product mindset focused on measurable impact and experimentation
  • Demonstrates unwavering commitment to service and dependable delivery standards
  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.
