Our challenge We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support multiple Agile teams in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of SAFe principles, solid understanding of the SDLC, and proven experience partnering with RTEs, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and predictable delivery. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA is $105k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

Requirements

  • Experienced as a Scrum Master in Scaled Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SAFe processes and ceremonies.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and software delivery practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
  • Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach teams on Agile & SAFe best practices.
  • Partner with RTE, POs, and other Scrum Masters to manage dependencies and support ART-level events.
  • Contribute to Pre-PI Planning, PI Planning, Iteration Planning, and Inspect & Adapt activities.
  • Ensure backlog readiness, sprint execution, and adherence to DoD/DoR.
  • Remove impediments, track team progress, and support continuous improvement.
  • Promote strong collaboration, communication, and transparency across teams.
