Leidos’ Defense Systems Land Systems is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team…with the ability and experience to work missile defense projects within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. In this role the successful candidate will coach an Agile team on Agile principles and practices, facilitate Scrum events like daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and remove impediments that hinder team progress. Also, collaborate with product owners to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for software developers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent coaching and problem-solving skills, be a strong team player, and able to establish solid working relationships with peers and technical staff members within the program. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience
• Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Must effectively communicate across all levels of the program
• Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum workflow and Kanban
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies
• Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Missile Defense
• Active secret clearance
• Full time onsite support
• Must be a resident of the North Alabama area

Nice To Haves

• SAFe Scrum Master certification
• Jira - issue tracking and agile project management, or similar tool
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
• Familiar with Agile project tools Verison1/Agility or Jira

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all team level events (PI Planning Team Breakouts, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Feature Elaboration, Sprint Review & Retro)
• Provides timely and accurate reporting of impediments, blockers, and risks to their Release Train Engineer
• Work with Release Train Engineer to set performance and growth targets for their teams
• Guides mentoring and development of agile team members
• Participate in Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt, and any ad hoc sessions called by RTE or Agile Coach
• Responsible for coordinating cross-team collaboration and dependencies and reporting them to the RTE
• Ensures teamwork, progress, and artifacts are transparent to all designated stakeholders
