About the position

The Agile Practices team is composed of enthusiastic members who support critical technology systems and guide business partners and end users with industry best practices, solution design, and creating long-term value for customers. The role involves acting as a Servant leader to an Agile team, educating teams to maximize efficiencies and performance from Scaled Agile practices and values, coaching teams in self-organization and continuous improvement, and guiding them to consistently deliver customer value. Responsibilities also include managing risks, mitigating impediments, negotiating dependencies, facilitating Scrum events, and ensuring clear communication within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Servant leader to an Agile team.
  • Educate Agile teams to maximize efficiencies and performance from Scaled Agile practices and values.
  • Coach Agile teams in self-organization and continuous improvement.
  • Guide the Agile teams to consistently deliver customer value.
  • Manage risks, mitigate impediments, and negotiate dependencies within and across Agile teams.
  • Facilitate Scrum events including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Refinement sessions, Iteration Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure features and user stories are clear, concise, prioritized, and understood by every member of the Agile team.
  • Establish and maintain open and clear lines of team communication to facilitate progress transparency.
  • Work with peer Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, and Agile Coaches to increase the effectiveness of Scaled Agile.

Requirements

  • Experience leading teams as a Scrum Master.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Team-first, servant leader mentality.
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified SAFe Scrum Master.
  • Certified PSM or CSM.
