As a Scrum Master you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. The program is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a dynamic and exciting software development team. The successful candidate will be the technical lead for an enterprise Java/AngularJS development project and a cloud migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stakeholder engagement, deriving and documenting requirements, implementing Agile best practices, developing the project roadmap, and removing roadblocks to enable team success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Understanding of Scrum ceremonies and Agile best practices.

  • Interest in change and learning to improve an organization in its Agile knowledge and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Drive the Scrum team to find efficiencies and to constantly improve themselves.
  • Mentor the Scrum team to be self-organizing.
  • Lead the team to make their own conclusions and decisions.
  • Shield the team from outside interference.
  • Coach the Product Owner, Scrum team, Stakeholders, and the greater organization on Agile ideology and Scrum best practices.
  • Help all parties understand their role in Scrum and how to work together effectively.
  • Guide the Product Owner on the vision for what they want to accomplish.
  • Remove impediments for the Scrum team or escalate them to someone that can.
