About The Position

Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a Scrum Master, Lead based out of our Chicago office. The Fitch Group Scrum Master Center of Excellence (CoE) is a global chapter dedicated to supporting, empowering and knowledge sharing for all organizational Agile practitioners. It is a community focused on evangelizing Scrum values and principles, helping squads follow best practices and lean processes, growing and supporting members in increasing their knowledge and expertise, while focusing on collaboration, continuous improvement and business value delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in coaching and development of squads and other Scrum Masters.
  • Experience working with fully distributed scrum teams.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in various Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent.
  • Strong communications, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Agile and continuous improvement mindset with dedication to uncovering better ways of working.
  • Passion for continuous learning and personal development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mentoring people.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jira (Jira AI, Automation, Dashboards, Goals, Timeline, Plan, JQL Filters, Analytics, Custom Charts), Confluence, MS Teams, MS Whiteboard, MS Forms.
  • Familiar with prompt engineering and Generative AI.
  • Experience in Behavior Driven Development, organizing and conducting workshops such as Event Storming and User Story Mapping.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, coach, and motivate teams to increase Agile fluency and adoption.
  • Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies.
  • Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals, and deliverables to support business objectives.
  • Ensure progress tracking and communication through Agile metrics.
  • Conduct quarterly planning (sprint zero) in coordination with other squads across the tribe.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate activities with other squads across the program.
  • Partner with and support Product Owners and Tribe Leads.
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums and collaborate with other Scrum Masters.
  • Contribute to the Scrum Master chapter, and various CoPs including Coaching CoP to set standards and improve best practices.
  • Promote Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, accountability, and visibility.
