Requirements

• Majoring in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related subject.
• Proficiency in Machine Learning via courses and projects.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. R, Python) used in Machine Learning.
• Substantial exposure to relational databases and use of SQL.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
• Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
• Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program through the duration of the internship.
• Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 8-10 weeks during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in organizing and facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensuring ceremonies run smoothly and on time while helping the team stay focused on the goal.
• Acting as a point of contact for team members to raise any blockers or concerns, and help resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that the Scrum team follows agile principles and practices.
• Assisting in maintaining and updating project progress using tools like Jira or Trello.
• Tracking key metrics such as burn-down charts, velocity, and sprint progress.
• Assisting the team with backlog grooming and supporting the team in defining goals, priorities, and estimates.
• Encouraging the team to regularly reflect and improve their processes and workflows, using retrospectives and feedback loops.
• Promoting the concept of continuous improvement within the Scrum framework.
