About The Position

We are Doe Run – producing metals and recycling batteries for a clean energy future. $28.59/hour 5% targeted monthly bonus. Insurance benefits start day 1. 80 hours vacation after 90 days. On-the-job training with career growth opportunities. The Doe Run Company is seeking a Scrubber Operator to maintain baghouse and scrubber operations to ensure maximum operations availability while meeting all environmental standards by providing proper ventilation and emission collection. This rotaing shift position will be located at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO.

Requirements

  • 3 years progressive experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Valid, current driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of chemical names and properties.
  • Familiarity with operating large equipment, Moxys, Spotter truck, industrial forklifts, etc.
  • Basic computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, etc.
  • Background in PLC operation and monitoring websites.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor bag house ventilation and collection systems; maintain according to operational specifications.
  • Operate and monitor PLC controlling equipment for the bag house and scrubber via computer.
  • Complete pre-shift inspection for machinery and equipment.
  • Complete maintenance tasks such as tightening, lubricating, cleaning, bag changing, and belt and shear bolt replacement.
  • Perform environmental monitoring; obtain pressure readings, control SO2 emissions, and monitor tribal flows.
  • Serve as backup to load and haul materials.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Identify different types of feed and slag material to ensure proper storage and processing.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
