Job Description The Scrub Technologist functions as a member of the patient care team, under the supervision of the physician, registered nurse and/or the unit director. This position provides technical skills in the role of the surgical scrub during operative procedures.

Requirements

Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program, or 5 years of scrub technician experience or hospital surgical technologist experience.
BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

Recent six to twelve months of Surgical Technologist experience in the Operating Room
Certification in Surgical Technology

Responsibilities

Utilizes effective interpersonal skills to promote teamwork, collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient services.

Participates in performance improvement activities, initiating improvement through proper channels.

Demonstrates flexibility regarding scheduling.

Participates in staff meetings.
May participate in QA, PI activities and other hospital committees.
May participate in communications with the surgical representatives with the various vendors.
Demonstrates expertise with instrumentation, setting up the case and physician preferences.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
