About The Position

The position involves two roles: Scrub Technician and Surgical Technician, each with specific qualifications and responsibilities. The Scrub Technician is responsible for assembling and preparing the sterile surgical field and performing the scrub role during surgical procedures. The Surgical Technician performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for perioperative patients, ensuring patient safety and efficiency in the operating room.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent for Scrub Technician.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology for Surgical Technician.
• Good communication skills.
• Record keeping skills sufficient to manage required documentation.
• Working knowledge of OR instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and prepares sterile surgical field and performs scrub role during surgical procedure.
• Cleans, prepares, stores, distributes, and maintains various supplies, equipment, and instruments to assure the efficient operation in a designated department.
• Prepares patient skin for surgery in accordance with Infirmary Health's standards.
• Positions patients according to type of surgery.
• Maintains aseptic techniques.
