About The Position

The OR Scrub Technician is accountable for the technical functions related to the patient's perioperative experience. The functions of this role include preparing the OR environment, and equipment, instrumentation and supply utilization. He / she is responsible to the circulating RN and works in concert with the philosophy and goals of the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of scrub experience.
• Licensed Surgical Technologist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR environment and equipment.
• Utilize instrumentation and supplies effectively.
• Assist the circulating RN during surgical procedures.
• Ensure a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures.
