Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Scribe to join our team! JOB SUMMARY: The scribe’s primary role is to assist a physician in creating and maintaining a patient’s medical record, though a scribe may assist the physician in other ways. Provide service excellence based on patient care and patient relationships. Functions as an effective team member with teamwork being the core approach whether doing order entry or providing patient care. Enters Provider medication and lab orders accurately and efficiently. The Scribe communicates with Providers and other medical staff, about patient’s lab and medication orders. Effectively provides a quality level of service to both internal and external customers and carries out tasks as delegated by Providers and Supervisors. Provide/support patient care by performing tasks and duties consistent with regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Additionally, is able to perform general duties in all areas within the clinic with adequate supervision.   • Perform general duties in all areas within the clinic with adequate supervision
  • Education Level: High School
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts to perform dosage calculations necessary to calculate proper dose of medication needing administered to patients.
  • Able to define problems, collect data and deal with stressful situations in a tactful professional manner.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • To perform necessary duties and responsibilities as listed below.
  • Associates Degree in a Healthcare/Medical related field is preferred.
  • Successful Completion of Medical Terminology Course preferred
  • Prefer at least 6 months experience working directly with Physicians in a clinical setting.
