About The Position

The Scribe is responsible for capturing accurate and detailed documentation of the encounter into the EMR in a timely manner, assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures, and ensuring site lab compliance with Department of Health (DOH) Regulations. The role also involves providing unparalleled customer service to patients, adhering to established protocols and work processes, and successfully managing volume without compromising quality. The essential functions include managing patient flow, assisting with medical procedures, maintaining compliance, and facilitating diagnostic tests.

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED; Undergraduate degree is a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy and EKG certifications is a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Computer proficiency.
• Bilingual language skills preferred based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Capturing accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters into the EMR.
• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Managing patient flow and inventory in collaboration with site managers.
• Ensuring compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
• Providing customer service to patients and managing volume effectively.
• Escorting patients to exam rooms, x-rays, or other facilities as needed.
• Facilitating necessary diagnostic tests and referrals to specialists.
• Maintaining a clean and professional working environment.
• Ensuring the site is fully stocked with medical supplies.
