  • Accurate, timely charting of patient encounters, including but not limited to patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, consultations with other providers, treatment course, diagnoses, discharge instructions and prescriptions.
  • Professional, non-intrusive interaction with patients, physicians, and other co-workers.
  • Compliance with HOPCo policies, including those relating to confidentiality of patient information.
  • Assist with all aspects of patient care and coordination of care as deemed necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to training other Scribes and staff.
  • Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant training program at an accredited institution, certification as a Nursing Assistant Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), graduation from a Scribe training program at an accredited institution, or a minimum of 1 year of Orthopedic scribe experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of back-office work experience or applicable work experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health care field and orthopedics.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures with regard to patient care in the clinics.
  • Knowledge of back office skills to include injections, sutures, and staple removal, DME orders, and Physical Therapy orders.
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality, state laws, HIPAA regulations and medical records procedures.
  • Experience in orthopedics is preferred.
