Requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more multiple spindle screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms.
• Read blueprints or job orders for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Position and secure specified collects, bushings, and stock pushers onto stock feeding mechanism and load bar stock into feeding mechanism.
• Install and adjust specified cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movements at each station.
• Set cutting speeds and feed rates, and move controls to cycle machine through settings.
• Observe machine operation and inspect first run and sample work piece to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Replace worn tools and operate bench grinder to sharpen tools.
