Primary clinical duties include collecting blood specimens by venipuncture (in accordance with National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards) and assisting with the delivery of various occupational health services including substance abuse specimen collection and vital sign measurements. Clerical duties include data entry, organizing test results as well as phone coverage. Performs blood specimen collection for laboratory testing. Prepares blood samples for testing (centrifuge and packing). Performs/assists with audiograms, PFTs, vision screening and related testing. Assists with health assessments. Conducts substance abuse specimen collection for testing. Provides clinical duties at various statewide locations, as requested. Compiles, sorts, and organizes lab work and related information for view and distribution. Verifies laboratory bill for accuracy. Performs other duties as assigned.
