About The Position

We are looking for a Screening Operator for our Troy, MI facility. In this role you will set up and operate all equipment for the screening process. You will be responsible for the homogeneity of in-process material and finished products as well as meeting or exceeding safety, quality, and production targets. Requirements

  • High School diploma or vocational technical training; experience may substitute
  • Basic math skills and organization ability
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, i.e. lifting, bending, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Under direction of Lead Screener, set up the screen, including installation of specified screen as well as placement of appropriately labeled and color-coded hoppers for collection of screened material
  • Clean screening equipment between alloys to remove residual powder
  • Submit samples of in-process and finished product to the Quality Control laboratory for testing, identifying product with proper heat or lot number
  • Meet or exceed all safety, environmental, and health goals for department
  • Meet or exceed quality goals for production orders
  • Meet or exceed productivity targets
  • Contribute to continual improvement activities
  • Notifies lead or supervisor about any problems
  • Perform other duties as required
