Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US)
  • Must have a good attendance record
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work from heights – up to 60’
  • Must be able to wear a respirator
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude
  • The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Basic hoist and rigging operations
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs)
  • Operate machines in the main room to work instruction standards (eg. Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex)
  • Disassemble, clean and reassemble main room machines and containers to QC standard (eg. Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex, tote bins, storage bins, revert bins, clayville cans)
  • Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment
  • Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
  • May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
  • Work from verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks before and after the and when required during the atomization process
  • Adhere to “clean as you go”, CORE and FOD expectations
  • Utilize PPE and follow all EH&S requirements
