About The Position

The Screen Printer I position at Cambro Manufacturing Company involves operating personalization machinery related to pad printing and silk screening processes. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret gauges and record measurements.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), operating and maintenance instructions, and any relevant manuals. English Required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Pad Print /Screen Print experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Personalization machinery and other equipment relating to the Pad Printing and Silk Screening process.
  • Setup the press, prepare ink, make clichés, clean machines, monitor production, adjust the machine to meet specific client specifications, and inspect the finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Maintain screen printing/pad printing equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Review designs/work orders and inspect equipment before starting any job.
  • Print with repeatable results, anticipating, recognizing and fixing possible issues with ink and press.
  • Verify and follow all information on the work order before printing including ink color matching and verification.
  • Verify the proper quantity has been printed before cleaning and breaking down for the next job.
  • Operate all secondary operation equipment including screen printer, pad printer, Fotoba Automatic Cutter, Exposure Unit.
  • Inspect product at each step of the process and/or packaging process for quality defects and perform necessary rework as required.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable.
  • Follow all safety procedures required in the work area, wear PPE as needed, attend all safety meetings, and report safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Perform effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treat everyone with respect.
  • Take ownership of own work and behavior, accept accountability for own actions, encourage solutions, and communicate status of work/projects.
  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria and raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.
  • Understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, displaying company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).
  • Understand department's key performance indicators and contribute to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
  • Assist with the removal of product, machine attachments, and waste material from machinery.
  • Maintain maximum efficiency in the department and be flexible to work overtime as needed.
