In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on various materials. The ideal screen printer will have a strong understanding of screen-printing processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.

Requirements

  • Must be dependable and have a solid work ethic.
  • Experience with automated screen-printing machines.
  • Knowledge of various substrate.
  • Understanding color theory and design.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with screen printing equipment, techniques, and materials.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and garments as needed.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a Screen Print Operator or in a similar printing role.
  • Knowledge of different types of inks, emulsions, and substrates.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with data-driven workflows a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Screen Preparation: Coat screens with emulsion, burn images onto screens using exposure units, and prepare screens for printing.
  • Machine Setup: Set up and align screen printing machines based on job specifications, including adjusting squeegees, platens, and screens for accuracy.
  • Ink Mixing and Application: Mix inks to match colors accurately and ensure proper consistency for printing. Apply inks according to job requirements.
  • Printing Process: Operate screen printing machines for single or multi-color prints on fabrics, paper, plastics, and other materials. Monitor machines to ensure smooth operation and high-quality output.
  • Quality Control: Inspect printed items for accuracy in design, alignment, and color consistency. Make necessary adjustments to correct any issues during production. Help with organizing and staging completed orders for pickup or shipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on machines and screens. Troubleshoot and repair equipment when necessary.
