Requirements

  • Knowledge of proper safety, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment (PPE) practices.
  • Understanding of departmental procedures, policies, and work standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow job tickets.
  • Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and data entry.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Review job tickets to understand production specifications and press setup requirements.
  • Operate multi-color presses and produce first-piece approvals independently.
  • Ensure press runs meet production and quality standards in accordance with procedures.
  • Conduct in-process checks, diagnose issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of backup press operators and press assistants.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on press equipment.
  • Assist with press tear-down, screen cleaning, and general press maintenance after production runs.
  • Follow all quality, environmental, and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Handle materials, including moving five-gallon ink pails and large screens (up to 75" x 87").
  • Perform press support tasks, such as racking printed materials and retrieving supplies.
