About The Position

Serigraph is seeking a Screen Fabricator to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for fabricating and reclaiming screens, troubleshooting screen-related issues, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. You'll play a vital role in minimizing press downtime and supporting efficient screen printing operations. Requirements

  • Knowledge of good departmental and company safety/housekeeping/PPE practices.
  • Ability to interpret job tickets and blueprints related to screen fabrication.
  • Understanding of departmental procedures and policies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using an ERP system.
  • Ability to distinguish screen types and apply correct fabrication methods.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide screening support to manufacturing, assisting with screen-related troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a low re-shoot rate and minimize press downtime related to screen issues.
  • Monitor the Titan system to prioritize screen preparation based on press schedule.
  • Reclaim screens and dispose of materials following environmental and departmental procedures.
  • Fabricate screens using appropriate materials (steel or polyester), tape, mesh, and tension per job specs.
  • Accurately read and interpret blueprints and job tickets related to screen fabrication.
  • Perform and respond to press calls, addressing screen-related issues.
  • Follow all quality and safety procedures applicable to the department.
  • Communicate with production teams daily to align screen readiness with job schedules.
  • Rotate job duties for skill development and ensure department coverage.
  • Support quality systems such as SPECS and suggest improvements to screen-making processes.
  • Track daily production quality and output data via dashboard tools.
  • Use various tools and equipment necessary for screen making and maintenance.
  • Meet medical/fit testing requirements for respirator use.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
